DAY 1:

Asciano Warm-Up

Welcome to Tuscany! Our meeting point is at Podere LA CHIUSELLA farmhouse in Rapolano Terme.

We will meet at 12.30 at the Quadrifoglio restaurant for lunch and a brief explanation of the tour.

In the afternoon, after a bicycle test, we will go around Asciano.

DAY 2:

Val Di Chiana

Today we will cycle along the Val di Chiana, reaching Cortona, a beautiful location famous for the film “UNDER THE SUN OF TUSCANY”

Val di Chiana is a large and fertile plain between Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany. It has an important agricultural production becoming the symbol of the lands of Sierna and the whole region.

DAY 3:

Val D’Orica

Today we will dive in Val d’Orcia, considered one of the most beautiful UNESCO sites in Italy. Medieval castles, sinuous hills, isolated villages at the top of the hills, scattered and isolated country houses, cypress avenues, and golden wheat fields, are just some of the elements of the fantastic and harmonious landscape of this area.

We will stop in Pienza, another Unesco site for a walk through the village.

DAY 4:

Rapolano Terme, Siena and tour of the Crete Senesi

Today is the day off!

If you want you can take an optional tour along the Crete Senesi, the most photographic panorama in the world!

Those who do not want to pedal can spend the morning at the spa and at the natural springs of the Rapolano thermal baths.

Hot springs are naturally produced by the emergence of geothermal underground water heated by the earth’s crust

In particular Terme San Giovanni is a natural terrace from which to admire the sea of ​​hills of the Crete Senesi, where you can relax in the pools, having lunch enjoying a breathtaking view of this beautiful landscape.

DAY 5:

Chianti Classico

Today we will cycle through the famous Chianti Classico area.

We will cycle along the Brolio Castle, built around 1000 AD. and owned since 1141 by the Ricasoli family, the oldest winery in Italy and the second in the world.

Continuing on we will stop for lunch in Gaiole in Chianti, the starting point of L’Eroica and we will walk the ancient “Strade Bianche” in search of a selection of artisan products. In the late afternoon we will return to LA CHIUSELLA, for a tasting of olive oil.

DAY 6:


Our last tour will take you to Montalcinjo, the city of the famous Bunello di Montalcino DOCG wine. We will cycle along the Pecorile road, along the heart of the Crete Senesi and the Asso valley. Montalcino renowned worldwide for the production of the precious Brunello red wine, has undergone few changes since the sixteenth century. When you are in the highest part of the country, a magnificent spectacle will appear to your eyes

DAY 7:

Monte San Savino

Today we will take a short tour of Monte San Savino, which was one of the first urban settlements in Tuscany and Italy.

Its origin dates back to around 1100 but another century had to pass before Monte San Savino could be considered a center of social, political and cultural importance in Tuscany of that time.

But the time has come to re-enter and the last part of the tour is mainly downhill!
